Tell Tyra Banks: We're Not Supporting America's Next Top Sweatshop

America's Next Top Model is a highly-rated, reality series where contestants vie for a lucrative modeling position at a top modeling agency. Hosted by Tyra Banks, the show is the premiere show of the new CW television network.

The show is called America's Next Top Model, but should be renamed, America's Next Top Sweatshop. The writers of the show are now on strike and they need your help in demanding that the CW and Tyra Banks recognize their request to join a union.

The so-called "reality" show actually employs twelve writers. They cull through more than 200 hours of video footage to create each 42 minute show. Most of the writers have dedicated themselves to numerous seasons of the show.

The writers do not receive any health care coverage, pension benefits, or residuals for their work, unlike writers covered by the Writers Guild.

Tell Tyra and Dawn Ostroff, President of the CW Network to honor the writers' wishes and recognize the union! Click Here To Take Action!

The writers are seeking to be represented by the Writers Guild of America, West. The WGAw represents writers in the motion picture, broadcast, cable, and new media industries, in both entertainment and news.
