Labor Heritage Foundation & P@W Executive Director honor SEIU President April Verrett

Pride At Work Executive Director Brittany Anderson recently joined the Labor Heritage Foundation at AFL-CIO headquarters to present SEIU President April Verrett with their 2026 Solidarity Forever Award!

The Labor Heritage Foundation works to preserve, promote, and strengthen the culture, history, and arts of the American labor movement through education, media, and creative expression. As President Verrett said in her acceptance speech "culture moves people before politics ever will."

President Verrett’s leadership creates a union and labor movement where the most marginalized and attacked people don’t have to hide. Where immigrants and trans people can stand proudly their rightful place as cherished members of our communities, as our family members, co-workers, neighbors, and friends.
