Pride At Work joins UAW’s Civil and Human Rights Conference

Last week, Pride at Work Interim Executive Director Brittany Anderson participated in the United Auto Workers Civil and Human Rights Conference, held at the Black Lake Education Center in Michigan. The conference offered a diverse range of workshops focused on advancing civil and human rights across all communities. Anderson led a session on LGBTQIA+ rights in the workplace, emphasizing that the fight for queer rights is inseparable from the broader struggle for labor rights.

The conference featured powerful keynote addresses from UAW President Shawn Fain, former State Senator Nina Turner, LaKeisha Davis (Top Administrative Assistant to the President), and Civil and Human Rights Director Helen Walker, each underscoring the importance of solidarity, equity, and justice within the labor movement.
