Wade Luneburg is Political Director of UNITE HERE Local 17 in Minnesota where he’s responsible for UNITE HERE’s political, policy, and coalition work. Wade is also attached to the Int’l. Unions’ State and Local Political Team and works directly with national leadership in the Immigration and Civil Rights Dept. His work them with them includes leading of a team to build out the unions own LGBTQ+ Network and the work here at Pride At Work, where he serves as your national Vice President. He is committed to moving working people and working families forward in these various roles, including our own beautiful community.

Luneburg is a 38-year member of the union and has been on staff for 23 years. He was formerly the Secretary/Treas. of Local 17 and today serves as its Recording Secretary. He is Chair of the of the local’s Taft-Hartley Health and Pension Funds. He is also a 16-year member of the Minnesota AFL-CIO Executive Board, believing in the necessity of strong, progressive and forward-thinking labor movement. He is a member of the Minneapolis Workplace Advisory Committee and the boards of CVB’s, Meet Minneapolis and Visit St. Paul and MN Sports and Events. He recently finished serving the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank District on its Industry Advisory Council.
