Brittany Anderson

Interim Executive Director

Brittany Anderson (she/her) is the Interim Executive Director of Pride At Work, the AFL-CIO constituency group and organizing hub for LGBTQIA+ workers.

As part of Occupy Wall Street in 2011, Brittany learned how corporations and billionaires try to divide the working class by the color of our skin, what part of the country we live in, where we were born, who we love, how or if we pray, and our gender. The union organizers who took her under their wing at Occupy showed her how unions are the vehicle for joining together across our differences and building an economy and country where everyone can thrive, no exceptions.

Brittany went on to work for RWDSU/UFCW Local 338, the RWDSU, the Southeast Minnesota Area Labor Council, and Machinists Union District Lodge 77, with experience in service/representation, organizing, electoral, legislative, health and welfare funds, and education. In addition to Pride At Work, she has been deeply active in Black Lives Matter, young worker, and progressive interfaith organizing. As Audre Lorde said, “There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.”
