Labor Notes: Empowering LGBTQIA+ Organizers

From April 19th to 21st, 2024, Pride at Work hosted a series of panels at Labor Notes. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Pride at Work panel on LGBTQ+ Organizing and every other phenomenal LGBTQIA+ panel, such as Trans Organizers & Leaders, Collectively Fabulous: Multiracial Queer & Trans Labor Histories & Futures, and the LGBTQIA+ Worker meeting.

Coming together as organizers to teach, learn, and discuss how we are changing the world was truly inspiring, and we were thrilled to do that at Labor Notes. For those who found us by attending Labor Notes, we welcome you!

Pride at Work is a group that represents the LGBTQIA+ community and is a part of the AFL-CIO as a constituency group. We have been working towards building LGBTQIA+ worker power in our workplaces and unions for the past 30 years. Our focus is not only on promoting LGBTQIA+ rights in unions but also in workplaces across the country.

You can join Pride at Work as a member by clicking here. We have local chapters where you can join and contribute towards the same goal. Moreover, we offer training sessions for unions, workplaces, conventions/panels on topics like LGBTQIA+ worker power, model contract language, LGBTQIA+ 101, Pronouns, Gender Affirming Care, and specialized training catered to your needs. Thank you again for attending Labor Notes and coming to our panels! If you have any questions, want to join a chapter in your area, or start a chapter in an area that does not have one, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at Info@PrideatWork.org
